The Cutting

From Roll to the Exact Format Required

Flexographic printing is performed on rolls. Once the printing process is complete, the paper must be converted into the final format required by the customer.

This is where the cutting department comes into play.

Cutting is a critical stage of the production process because it transforms a printed roll into a finished product ready to be used, packed, distributed or integrated into an industrial workflow.

For many customers, the sheet is the final product. For us, it is the result of a process that begins long before printing and ends only when the paper reaches the customer in the exact format, quantity and configuration required.

Four Dedicated Cutting Lines

RedsPaper operates four dedicated sheeting lines designed to convert printed rolls into finished sheets.

Each machine is engineered to handle lightweight papers and can process rolls up to 150 cm (59 inches) in width.

This production capacity allows us to manage multiple jobs simultaneously while ensuring flexibility, continuity and reliable lead times.

Each sheeter can process up to six rolls at the same time, enabling production configurations that would be difficult to achieve with conventional equipment.

The result is greater efficiency, increased flexibility and the ability to meet highly specific customer requirements.

Centered Cutting

All of our sheeting lines are equipped with centered cutting systems.

This feature is particularly important when working with custom printed paper, repeating logos and branded graphics.

The cutting process is synchronized with the print repeat so that every sheet is cut in exactly the right position.

As a result, logos, patterns and graphic elements remain perfectly centered on every sheet and are never randomly cropped.

The finished product delivers a visual quality that closely resembles individually printed sheets while maintaining the efficiency of industrial roll-to-roll production.

For brands that use paper as part of their visual identity, centered cutting represents a significant aesthetic and commercial advantage.

Custom Sheet Sizes

Every customer uses paper differently.

Some need to wrap shirts, others bottles, cosmetics, luxury accessories or products moving through automated packaging lines.

For this reason, we do not force customers to adapt their operations to standard formats.

Instead, we manufacture the format that best suits the application.

Our production organization allows us to create custom sheet sizes designed around the final use of the paper while minimizing waste and maximizing production efficiency.

The objective is simple: the right format, with the least possible waste.

Reams Ready to Use

At the end of the cutting process, the sheets are automatically counted using integrated ream-counting systems.

This enables us to prepare packs that precisely match the customer’s specifications.

We regularly supply reams containing:

  • 50 sheets
  • 100 sheets
  • 200 sheets
  • 500 sheets
  • 1,000 sheets

or any other quantity required.

Many retail chains and multi-store organizations receive reams that are already prepared for direct distribution to individual locations.

In many cases, one or two reams are allocated to each store, simplifying inventory management and logistics.

Multiple Rolls, Greater Flexibility

The ability to process up to six rolls simultaneously creates significant production flexibility.

For example, we can convert different paper variants within the same production cycle or process papers featuring different colours, graphics or specifications.

This capability is particularly useful for customers managing multiple product lines, retail networks or complex distribution systems.

It also helps optimize production efficiency while reducing handling times.

Secondary Cutting and Special Formats

Once the sheets have been produced, they can undergo additional converting operations.

We operate equipment capable of performing secondary cuts to create smaller or highly specialized formats.

This allows us to support specific requirements across industries such as food packaging, fashion, cosmetics, retail and industrial applications where non-standard dimensions are often required.

Flexibility Without Compromise

In the cutting department, flexibility is one of our greatest strengths.

Printing is performed on rolls to maximize production efficiency. Cutting then transforms that production into a finished product tailored precisely to the customer’s operational requirements.

Sheet size, ream quantity, centered cutting, packaging configuration and final presentation are all defined according to the way the paper will actually be used.

Because custom paper only delivers its full value when it arrives ready to perform its intended function.

Exactly as the customer needs it.
